Rankin
There are few photographers in the world that can genuinely claim iconoclast status. Rankin is definitely one of them. From his picture of The Queen (airbrushing her to look 40 years younger) to his incredible catalogue of commercial and purely artistic works, Rankin has consistently defied convention, stepped out of the safety zone and continually re-invented contemporary photography.
His revolutionary Rankin Live shows are the latest manifestation of his complete inability to sit back, rest on his laurals and live off his best work (which lesser photographers are already doing). His best work is still, undoubtably, to come.
